Like to have an Eli Manning signed Giants football? An Emmitt Smith signed Cowboys helmet?

These and many other sports memorabilia are being raffled off by the Friends of the Pace Library. The goal of the raffle is to begin raising funds to add a children’s activity room to the Pace Library so Story Time and After School programs can be provided for Pace children.

Ticket sales for the raffle will begin on March 7 and 8 at the Friends Used Book Sale at the Pace First United Methodist Church at 4540 Chumuckla Hwy., Pace. Raffle tickets are available for a $10 donation, or in books of 6 for a $50 donation. The raffle ends November 29, 2008.

Other prizes include a Travis Fryman signed baseball, Greg Litton signed baseball, Danny Wuerffel signed mini-helmets, “Refrigerator” Perry signed football, Haley Millsap signed hat and picture, Lisa Leslie signed basketball, a Penske Racing book and Batter’s Box gift certificate, Boo Weekley signed hat and picture, and many more!

The net proceeds of this raffle shall be used to enlarge the Pace Library to include a meeting room for children’s Storytime and other activities.
A list of the raffle winners will be posted at www.FriendsofPaceLibrary.org.

RAFFLE START AND END DATE
The winning raffle numbers will be determined by a random drawing on November 29, 2008.
WINNING DETERMINATION
The winning entry will be determined by drawing by SRC District 1 Commissioner, witnessed and verified by the Friends of the Pace Library Treasurer. Members of the Board of the Friends of the Pace Library are not eligible for the drawing. The verification by the Treasurer in determining the winner is final. Winner need not be present to win; however, winner is responsible for pick up of prize.
RAFFLE TICKETS

  • The price for each raffle ticket is $10, or booklet of 6 tickets for $50.The odds of winning will be determined by the total number of entries recieved and will be posted on the website www.FriendsofPaceLibrary.org after the drawing.
  • A raffle ticket can only be purchased in the name of one individual. Tickets will be placed in the raffle drum awaiting the drawing.
  • The Friends of the Pace Library, Inc. assumes no responsibility for lost, misdirected, late, non-delivered, or other failed efforts to submit a timely ticket order.
  • All ticket orders must be received and fully paid prior to the stated entry deadlines in order to be valid.
  • The Friends of the Pace Library, Inc. reserves the right to reject any raffle ticket entry form that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.”
  • The Friends of the Pace Library, Inc. has no responsibility for notifying anyone who attempts to purchase a raffle ticket without good funds.
  • Raffle tickets cannot be canceled or voided and there are No Refunds.
  • Any unsold raffle tickets remaining at the end of the sales period will be removed from the drawing for winner selection.
  • Each unique Raffle ticket can only win one prize.
  • To win, you must match your number in exact order to the winning number drawn.

Subject to the number of tickets and prizes available, there is no limit to the number of tickets purchased or prizes won.

HOW TO PURCHASE

  • Valid ticket orders are those phoned, faxed or mailed with valid payment: check/money order made payable to “Friends of the Pace Library, Inc.”
  • Tickets will be maile to you and you may mail back the stub.
  • Orders will be processed in the approximate order in which they are received and verified.
  • Buyers may purchase as many tickets as desired subject to availability.
  • Cash purchases may occur in person at any Used Book Sale, or from any member of the Friends of the Pace Library.
  • Do not mail cash.
  • All sales are final.


WINNING PRIZES

  • Winner Notification: Winners need not be present at the drawing; winners will be notified by phone and/or mail. The Friends of the Pace Library, Inc. will make reasonable efforts to contact the persons named on a winning raffle ticket, using only the information on the winning raffle ticket entry form. If despite those efforts the persons named on a winning raffle ticket cannot be located within sixty (60) calendar days after the drawing, or if any such person is ineligible under these Rules or applicable law, then that person will not be awarded the prize, no other raffle ticket will be substituted for that raffle ticket and the prize will be retained by the Friends of the Pace Library, Inc. Any prize that is not claimed within sixty (60) days after the drawing for that prize will not be awarded.
  • Prize Acceptance: Each person named on a winning raffle ticket agrees, as a condition to being eligible to receive any prize, to sign and deliver to the Friends of the Pace Library, Inc.: (a) such written information as is required by any applicable tax laws, including without limitation his or her Social Security Number; (c) proof of identity in forms satisfactory to Friends of the Pace Library, Inc. showing that the person claiming the prize is the same person who is named on the winning raffle ticket.
    Publicity: Each person named on a winning raffle ticket agrees that his or her name, likeness, voice and city of residence may be used - without notice or payment of compensation - in any print, audio, or visual media for any promotional or other purposes, including without limitation any purposes related to this or any other raffle involving the Friends of the Pace Library, Inc..
  • Taxes And Withholding: All prize winners are solely responsible for paying and reporting, as and when required by law, all income taxes and any other taxes and expenses attributable to the prize, and each winner shall indemnify, defend, protect and hold harmless the Friends of the Pace Library, Inc. against all claims relating to such taxes. All winners shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prizes.
