Vic Campbell is a native of Florida with pioneer roots embedded deep into
the sandy loam of a panhandle village called Chumuckla. After primary and
secondary education at the rural Chumuckla School, he completed an AS degree
at Pensacola Junior College and a BS degree in Marine Biology at the University
of West Florida. Then, as a junior Naval Officer, he served aboard the frigate
O'Callahan in the final days of the Vietnam War.
A Master's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Florida
led to a career in agribusiness.
In 1991, Vic and his wife Karen celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary
and the birth of their first child, Alexander. Vic, Karen, and Alex live in
Sparta, New Jersey.
The Milton Press Gazette carried a weekly column by Vic Campbell. This book
is a collection of those columns. We are grateful to Vic Campbell for letting
us use portions of his book on this web site. If you have a favorite story
from Vic's book and we don't have it up yet, let us know and we'll get right
to it. You will be able to check out and read the entire book when the Pace
Area Library is built!
